Hydraulic Axle Lift Mechanism (HALM)
Get the benefits of a low and high clearance vehicle
The Hydraulic Axle Lift Mechanism — HALM is an electromechanically controlled hydraulic system developed in-house to equip vehicles with dynamic ground clearance adaptability. Designed specifically for rugged terrain, off-road precision, and urban versatility, HALM provides an on-demand axle elevation that improves ground clearance without sacrificing pre-existing stability or ride quality.
Built for Strength and Simplicity
- A pair of HALM can theoreticaly lift up to 700 kg* reliably under field conditions.
- Compact packaging fitting seamlessly on vehicle chassis, preserving ground space.
- Designed for rugged performance on personal, special utility, safari, and utility vehicles.
- Resilient to dust, moisture, and moderate off-road abuse — engineered for endurance.
How It Works
HALM consists of high-pressure hydraulic actuators powered by an electric driven pump, an integrated hydraulic flow control box (FCB), and a dedicated reservoir. The system responds to digital commands from a switch in the cabin to raise or lower the axles all while the vehicle is stationary or below 15 kph*.
In its dual-actuator configuration, HALM can lift approximately 700 kg*, providing additional ground clearance or load compensation at the push of a button. The sequence of events flow as mentioned below:
- A command is sent to the flow control computer by the driver in the cabin
- The flow control box with solenoid-operated valves directs flow to the actuators
- Pressurized hydraulic fluid start accumilates in the actuators resulting the damper piston to extend
- In a span of 4-8 seconds* the vehicle axle will raise an additional 55mm or 45mm depending on the actuator variant
- To return to vehicle default ground clearance, the driver will only need to toggle the same switch again
Where it counts
With HALM, vehicles gain the tactical advantage of ground adaptability, be it clearing rocks, flooded roads, or tight parking angles. HALM adds utility without requiring permanent chassis alteration. Minimizes the need for suspension overbuilds or overcompensated tires while preserving fuel efficiency by keeping the car's initial ride height. Since ride height normaly calibrated by the manufacture to optimize fuel efficiency, ride quality just but to mention a few.
From personal vehicles to tourism fleets and logistics operators — HALM unlocks mobility when it matters.
